Most of us have old home videos laying around gathering dust. Unfortunately, most of these videos get thrown away along with their unique memories.
Autumn Rewind offers incentives to get your tapes digitized so they aren’t lost forever. For every homemade VHS tape and 8mm film you send us, you receive a digitized copy and receive a share of the revenue generated by those tapes for a period of time.
The only thing you pay is the shipping. We recommend using Media Mail by the United States Postal Service. The cost of Media Mail is based on weight, and the Retail Rate starts at just $3.19 for a 1-pound single-piece package. After 1 pound, the price increases by just $0.63 per pound for single-piece Media Mail.
Once we take ownership of the tapes, we digitize the video and send you the digitized copies. This brings value just by itself since digitizing one VHS tape at most national chain stores cost around $30. And digitizing 8mm film can often cost even more.
To provide added protection, we conduct a review to filter video that we deem too sensitive or inappropriate for licensing.
We post the video on our YouTube channel for you and others to view and offer it to filmmakers and companies for licensing. We post it under a descriptive title and add relevant tags in the video description to help those searching for videos with specific attributes better find what they are looking for.
We work with companies, filmmakers, and others to license video footage to them to use for their film and advertising projects.
You receive a percentage of the revenue of the tapes you transfer to us for the period of the time outlined in the particular revenue option you choose. The details of the options are found on our main page.
